Michelin PS4S vs Conti SportContact 7
Is the PS4S really the go to performance they’re anymore? It’s been out for a really long time now and I feel like A LOT has changed since it first came out.
In saying so, Michelin tyres have always been fairly comfortable in their class so I was wondering if anyone has any real world daily driving comparisons between the two tyres? Is the PS4S significantly better in terms of comfort and road noise than the SC7, or is it fairly similar? Yes I’ve seen the comparisons on the website, I was just looking at some other opinions as well before pulling the trigger on a new set.
The size for context would be a 245/35/19 and price wise here in Australia it’s actually fairly close. I drive an i30N, and while I do love putting my foot down and throw it around corners, I also do cover a lot of distance daily so comfort and noise are important factors. I just feel like with a UUHP tyre, it’s really hard to get the ultimate grip with good comfort/noise balance. I have considered going to a UHP, like a PS5 for example but I feel like I may regret not going all the way to a better tyre if that makes sense?
