i am having the weirdest problem with my pc and i am so confused. The pc wont connect to any monitor if it's in my bedroom, but it will in the main room.
A couple weeks ago i moved my pc set up to my bedroom so that my spouse and i could be on different calls at the same time, both our pcs were in the main room before that. a few days after moving it my pc stopped connecting to the monitor, the pc still turns on, but the monitor says no signal.
The monitor and hdmi cable work when i hook up our switch. We tried a different hdmi cable and my spouses monitor and neither worked in the bedroom. We tried plugging both the pc and the monitor into different outlets and it did the same thing.
The really weird part is that when we took my pc into the main room to do some more trouble shooting it connected to the monitor just fine. it connected to my spouses monitor and works as normal. my monitor works hooked up to my spouses computer too. Every individual part works seperatly, and the pc works fine in the living room, but it just wont connect to a monitor if it's in the bedroom.
We are so confused, if anyone has any ideas of what might be wrong or how to get my pc to connect to the monitor while in the bedroom, please share. My spouse and i are at our wits end.
Edit: we reinstalled the graphics drivers and then moved it back to the bedroom and now it works. I have no idea what was going on with it working in one room and not the other, but it's working now so im not touching anything else XD
