We will be getting an engineered maple herringbone parquet floor installed on top of a concrete ground floor with bitumen residue left from the original flooring.

We have three different quotes with different treatments to go on the concrete and bitumen before the new flooring. What would be the best out of these?: Resin damp proof membrane (DPM); latex, then DPM; latex, DPM, then latex again? Is the latter (the most expensive) excessive?

The middle option would use Wakol MS300 DPM and Pro Level Two self leveling latex. The third one uses Ardex DPM and Ardex NA latex. Not yet got the details for the first option. The middle is massively cheaper than the others even when I asked about adding a later of latex before the DPM, as they initially suggested just the DPM.

Any advice would be appreciated.
