S21u stopped working on fido now works on rogers
Hey y'all I have an interesting one for you.
Today I went into a rogers, got myself a new phone. S26u
Not the greatest deal but whatever.. anyway I decided to go the new route as my s21 ultra had been giving up the ghost. Bluetooth worked but my wifi stopped working, for a while would turn on occasionally, then 2 or 3 weeks ago stopped completely. I tried everything. Resetting network settings, reformatted device constant restarts... Nothing just dead.. I saw some s21 users had similar issues so I figured it was a device issue and called it a day.
Today I got my new s26 ultra and such a new sim card. As to not damage it while I wait for my case and screen protectors I shoved my rogers sim into my s21. It restarts and low and behold my device is able to use wifi. With no issues.
Also worth mentioning that this started happening around the time that I saw people complaining in this sub about people with the 27 dollar plans losing hotspot capabilities... (I had an old plan that was too much, 65 bucks or something for 50gb that I got when they were doing iphone13's for 0 dollars years ago. So it shouldn't have been that right?)
Anyway just wondering if there is any possible way that this could have effected the wifi of my phone... And if so is there any action I can take? (I will continue using the phone for a bit to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Before I do anything)
