Hi there!
Quick question-is it common to have a lawyer request the first appointment be paid in cash or cashiers check? This is our first time consulting with a lawyer and the receptionist said they could help us and it would be 800$ cash for the initial 2 hour appointment. To meet in the lobby and call and they’d let us in (also sounded odd?). Then the retainer would be 7500$ which sounds like it’s on the higher end from what I can gather. Like I said, very new to this. If it helps it’s tax related and in MA. TIA!
