Hi everyone

I recently got accepted into the University of Manchester for a postgraduate program in Creative and Cultural Industries, and I’m about to apply for accommodation.

I’m trying to decide which halls to choose. I’d prefer somewhere:

- clean and well-maintained (especially shared spaces like kitchens)

- not too noisy

- but still somewhat social

My budget is around £200 per week.

I’m an international student and LGBTQ+, so having a diverse, respectful and inclusive environment is really important to me.

Also:

- Are university halls better than private accommodation for postgrads?

- Which areas feel safest and most comfortable to live in?

- How clean are shared kitchens usually in these halls?

Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
