probably an odd one?
Hey so Ive done seasonal work for like 4 to 5 yrs before and recently my boss reached out to me with a job opportunity. Thing is back then I was running away from a lot of issues that right now have been resolved and healed. Im 29 now currently living with my parents in Puerto Rico where im from originally. Im a cashier at a pharmacy here and I dont make much especially how expensive Puerto Rico is and my mom's health isn't well but its not in danger either (yet) thing is she needs surgery and her insurance doesn't cover it my dad is retired which doesn't pay much either. I want to take this job offer to help them and help myself in this situation but they dont want me to go probably afraid I won't come back like last time which ive guaranteed won't happen im only doing this seasonally and coming back here to help around since my older siblings dont care theres a lot of bad trauma history so they refuse to step up. The job I have now has 0 benefits pay is horrible and the hours are pretty bad too but here we take what we are given... and ive been given this opportunity with tremendous pay and benefits but when I talk to them about it they make it feel like its a mistake for some reason its probably because I keep saying seasonal and they see that as unstable income but the thing is this place allows me to work like that or even stay year round and take time off in winter since its way slower then they prefer less employees and then rehire or hire new employees for the busy season
