I just got my G90 and something doesn't seem right.
Fresh out of the box, when I speak into the mic, the ALC barely moves. Even in the G90's waterfall, my signal looks faint and patchy.
When I watch all the videos online, the ALC should go to 100% and the meter fully to the right.
I compared all my setting with the manual and what others recomend online, but nothing helps.
I've already done factory resets and flashed firmware version 1.81.
My tests:
Mouth to mic distance was always about 2 cm / 1 inch, Mode USB/LSB, Power 5W, Dummy Load.
Mic Gain 10, CMP off: ALC max 10% (Default settings)
Mic Gain 10, CMP on: ALC max 10%
Mic Gain 20, CMP off: ALC max 20%
Mic Gain 20, CMP on: ALC max 30%
I also tested the power output in CW using an external meter and it was 5.3 W.
Thoughts?
