Visibility triangle prevents us from having privacy
I live in a city with a 75' visibility triangle rule at all intersections INCLUDING alleyways which we didn't know before we ripped out our 15-foot hedge in order to put in a privacy fence. We have a toddler and a dog so a fence in general is a need. However, we have a tiny yard and now without this hedge our yard is in full view of about 6 neighborhoods which makes it uncomfortable to be outside. Our permit for semi-privacy vinal was denied, and they said we can resubmit with a chain link fence if we want.
I truly hate the look of chain link. I was thinking maybe a split rail and then growing climbing roses across it. Does anyone have any other ideas for privacy? The fence itself needs 75% transparency, but plants don't "count" as breaking the rule. I also think temporary solutions would be fine i.e. plastic privacy strips woven through a chain link (although again, not loving the chain link idea) as long as the fence itself complies
