Before you correct me, I know that there is no such thing as a Phase Engine as Dezarium ships are wirelessly powered through their armor, but since Dezarium used that term already and I didn't knew what to call the real system I sticked to using the name Phase Engine.

So we know there things about the spacetime node.

1. It works in both directions for Dezarium
2. You need a Phase Engine(or rather be able to receive Phase Energy) to cross it
3. None of those things applies to the Yamato as it went into the past with a Wave Motion Engine

We also know that Phase Energy is supplied through the spacetime node.

My theory is that the spacetime node will always send what crosses it into the past and that the only was to use it the other way is to have some kind of beacon.

In Dezarium's case the beacon is the flux of Phase Energy, this is why you need a Phase Engine to cross the spacetime node correctly.

We have proof of it because:

1. When the Yamato crosses the spacetime node it was pulled vertically without needing any propulsion.
2. The Dezarium ship that transported Sasha had a damaged Phase Engine it wasn't able to go to 3199, because it could follow the flux of Phase Energy to the end.
