Just got my sleep study results which showed only 1 event of sleep apnea all night, but an average of 16 "other" respiratory disturbances per hour, normal oxygen levels, woke up 15 times in the night, and heart rate spiking from 40 to 110 bpm several times.
When I spoke with the sleep clinic, all they were really able to tell me is that I need to be tested again with better equipment. Wanted to ask if anyone here who is more knowledgeable than me might have any more insights to offer on my data, see any red flags to look out for as I get older, etc
For context, I’m a male in my early 20s, healthy weight and work out regularly, have a class II bite with visible but relatively mild recession in both jaws. I find it kind of hard to believe that I’d already have sleep apnea at my age and weight, but I do feel sluggish most of the time and nap often. Thoughts?
