I'm getting ready to install a Schluter shower kit in my basement, and I want to ensure my plan is sound before I cut into that pricey kit.

The roughed-in drain line is forcing me into an unusual shape: 36" wide by 48" deep shower, with the drain 10-18 inches inches off of the end wall.

The current plan is to buy a 38x60 offset drain kit and cut about a foot off the end furthest from the drain.

Every video i see recommends cutting evenly around the pan.

Would my uneven cut cause problems? Can I simply float the height difference between the 3/4" edge piece I save and the remaining slope with band and mortar?

The probe on my replacement toolhead seems to be drifting with every reading.

I tried tidying up the wiring inside the toolhead, which allowed me to create a few good meshes, and a decent print.

This screenshot is from an attempt at a QGL a few hours the successful print. Not that the Z reading keeps creeping down.

Anything I should look at before scavenging the probe from the old broken toolhead?
