I need purchase advice on the Squiers
So for some context I play classical/flamenco guitar so I'm not a total beginner. I also play 5 other instruments so a lot of knowledge on music. I've been looking to purchase my first electric guitar. I've done some research and landed on 2 Squier models. I know there are better for the price guitars out there but where I live, I have limited access to them, I will have to get them shipped here which will cost a lot extra. In my area there is a shop that has new Squier Sonic and Debut stratocaster HSS, which are the same price. I've done some digging and found out that they are essentially the same besides some minor cosmetic changes. The thing is the Debut seafoam green really caught my eye, and I really like the color of it. On the Sonic side there's maybe the surf green that looks nice (the looks is important to me). On the Debut I'm afraid that the satin finish will get polished after some use, and overall the standard gloss finish is more traditional. Should I sacrifice the upgrades in the Sonic(if there is any) to go with the look of something that I like, or should I go with the "better" one even if I don't like the look of it as much? And is there a real difference between the two besides the stripe, finish, logo, etc.?
The local shop has the orange Sonic listed, I don't know if they have or can get the other colors for the same price. I'm going to get to the store and check for myself. If they can get the Surf green I don't know which to get, maybe I'll try the feel of the two and decide which one is the better feeling one. If they can't get the green I'll get the Debut, but still worried about the satin finish.
