I was asked by a friend to post this here. My friend has purchased a U5G Max Outdoor as a backup connection for his primary Starlink connection. So far so good. He lives near the Swiss border to Germany, maybe some of you are aware of the struggles of roaming with Switzerland and the surrounding European countries.
The problem he is now facing is, despite deactivating roaming and the U5G being in visible distance to the German cell tower, the modem still decides to connect to the Swiss based Salt carrier network. This gives troubles with any data throughout. He has already opened a ticket with Ubiquiti but maybe one of you has an working workaround. Thanks in advance.
