After tolerating all my previous doses of Wegovy well enough for the last few months, I titrated up to 1.7mg a few weeks ago. It was definitely time to, but now I’m having relentless acid reflux, nausea, and stomach pain. I dealt with years of terrible, near-constant GERD/nausea/vomiting before and I am in no way wanting to revisit that time in my life.

My doctor debated either moving me back down to 1mg or switching to Zepbound. Since I feel great at this dose wrt inflammation and food noise, and less so at 1mg, he chose to try Zepbound first rather going back down in dose right away.

I’m nervous! I’ve been responding well to semaglutide overall until now (although weight loss is slowing even with the higher dose) and I’m so anxious that it’s all going to go haywire. Has anyone else switched? What was the process like?

I’m on semaglutide. I get occasional stomach pains/cramps, usually if I have something that doesn’t agree with me like alcohol or caffeine. (I also got them occasionally pre-GLP - thanks, IBS.)

I just recently went up to 1.7mg and woof, this one is rough all around. Stomach cramps are more frequent and more uncomfortable, although not severe. I can’t really ID a specific thing that is triggering them at this new dose.

Does anyone know what might help ease them a bit? I can deal with reflux with my PPI and nausea with Zofran, but I’m at a loss about the abdominal pain.
