I'm curious if there are any stories where the MC (or another major character) regresses but loses something important in the process for good. Like ML and FL don't end up together anymore, someone dies, they lose a skill, etc. but they choose to do it anyway for a good reason.

Never really come across this since everything always goes right in the 2nd timeline. The closest I've seen is probably The Villainess Lives Again where the magic affected FL's health/lifespan.

I'm craving for some angst basically.
