I'm having a hard time chasing my academic dreams

A little backstory, I've always been able to get by well in school. I had good grades and never had to really work for them. Once I went to a more challenging school I started to have clear gaps in my skills as a student and began doing very poorly in my classes. It was around that point I realized that I had skipped the step of learning how to learn or of finding joy in it, so while my peers were studying I had to first learn how to catch up and that alone destroyed any shred of confidence I had in my ability.

What I'm asking is, do you all have any tips or advice on how to become better in academics? How can I build the skills needed while having ADHD?

Thank you in advance for any advice given. I appreciate the help. 👍
