My three week old has been projectile vomiting after the night feed since he was a week old. By projectile, I mean it has regularly hit the wall from our bed. He also brings up so much liquid which contains what looks (and smells) like curdled milk. We’ve had input from the infant feeding team who’ve given us tips about his latch and positioning and had his tongue tie procedure. We were assessed for pyloric stenosis which they didn’t find and are now in limbo. The hospital advised against trying any medication given it doesn’t affect every feed.
It’s the most bizarre thing as it’s only ever at the night feed and yet I feed him in the same position as I do during the day. I keep him upright for 20 mins after each feed and always try to burp him usually with success. He does struggle more to burp at night but even with days feeds where he can’t burp he isn’t sick. He is absolutely fine after he’s sick - literally acts as if nothing has happened.
Has anyone else experienced the same and has any tips please? We would really appreciate it!
