I have been a state employee for 6 months now and I have lost a couple doctors including my therapist because they don't take NYSHIP. And I've had trouble finding a specialist for my daughter as well. It seems like no one around here takes them. And the prior authorization process is a joke. I think when the times comes we're going back to my husband's federal employee health insurance. Switching to empire was cheaper but it's not worth it if we can't use the insurance.
