Ive been fishing a few times with a buddy(lake/rivers/ponds. He has both spinning reel and baitcaster . Ive tried both. I think I want a baitcaster for my first reel , i haven't had much trouble using it a few backlashish the first few casts but nothing to bad. Im still fairly new and have no preference on what im tring to catch and what baits im going to use. Im also fairly sure I will end up getting both types of reels later on . I already have an idea of what im going to buy just not sure if I should buy the Baitcaster first or the spinning reel. Would it be a mistake getting a baitcaster first?
