Found a hidden/beta "Quick Panel Editor" activity on Z Flip 6 + Hidden "Edge-Tap" shortcut discovered
I was digging through system processes using Root Activity Launcher on my Z Flip 6 and found a specific activity that, according to its name, should allow you to edit the Cover Screen Quick Panel.
The activity is called com.android.systemui/ com.android.systemui.qp.customiz e.SubscreenCustomizerActivity
Although it launches, it doesn't actually let you edit the icons yet. Maybe it is like a "Work in Progress" that Samsung hasn't fully implemented or is currently testing for a future One Ul update.
Even though the editor doesn't work, exploring it led me to notice a hidden UI mechanic in the current Quick Panel that doesn't require any special activation: The "Edge-Trigger" logic: If you tap exactly on the outer border/edge of a toggle icon, outside the yellow box (like WiFi, or Airplane Mode), it doesn't just toggle the setting. It acts as a shortcut that takes you directly to the specific Settings page for that toggle. This works on the activity, and I have tried it in the coverscreen and it also works.
The Difference: Tapping the center only toggles ON/OFF. Tapping the edge opens the menu.
Has anyone else encountered this non-functional editor? And did you know about the edge-tap shortcut? It seems like Samsung left some "power user" features buried in the code.
Edit: I have one ui 8.5 beta
