Inspected time and time again on all my plants for pests and can't find any, but I've never had pests and could well be looking past them. I have a low level grow light for my calathea since they are jungle, water when the top of the soil begins to dry. I feed every 2 weeks according to the instructions on my food, and am getting rapid new growth despite the 'damage'
