Metropolis Parking is the Worst
My car is automatically registered with Metro Parking, so when my car pulls into one of their garages, I am automatically charged. Well, a few weeks ago my husband took my car to take our senior dog to the vet. My car is much lower to the ground and easier for our older dog to get in and out of. The parking validation at the vet didn’t work since his phone number isn’t on my account. I immediately email them and explain. They don’t get back to me for 10 days and then say they checked my account and don’t see the validation so they won’t refund me.
I already did a chargeback on my card since they took 10 days to respond. However, this just makes me mad. As far as I know, there’s no easy way to work around this issue.
The automatic charging based on your license plate should be illegal. Isn’t there some sort of privacy law around that? I’m planning on filing a complaint with TDOT, but any other ways to make Metro clean up their flawed processes would be appreciated.
