Discussion: Level 1 or Level 2?

I just got done watching a TikTok where the person was saying that if you cannot be financially independent reliably, you could be level 2 instead of 1.
If you can mostly maintain a financially independent lifestyle on your own, you are level 1.
I hope I’m getting the understanding of the video across. I just thought that was interesting but also a little oversimplified? I don’t think they were trying to say everyone is but the video is set up that way.
Curious if others’ thoughts.

EDIT: I just rewatched the video and want to mention that it goes on more to add “how you react to change or something bad happening”. Level 1s are able to get the help they need and move on, level 2s quit their job or get fired. (Not saying I agree just adding more context).
