Hi all 👋
Sorry if this question gets asked a lot. Just after some advice.

So we’re to buy our first vinyl cutter, ideally with a max budget of around £700 GBP, for our indie streetwear brand.

Primarily looking to use high build silicone vinyl, like the Stahls 3D High Build and Silicone 500. Will also want to use some puff vinyl too.
So would need something that can confidently and precisely cut through those thicker types of vinyl.

We won’t be running it every single day. But when we run it, I’d want it to be as precise and reliable as possible.

I’ve looked at options like the Silhouette Cameo, and Siser Juliet. I’d also eyeballed the Roland GS2-24, but it’s just a little out of my budget at this moment in time (unless it’s advisable to stretch to it).

Just wondering what people would recommend, and/or whether I should be willing to expand my budget a little, in order to get a better machine for professional use?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Looking for a first 40cm x 50cm heat press to kick off a streetwear brand.

Going with Stahls Inktra for most designs.

Would like to find a reliable press under £800 if possible.

Looking for 40cm x 50cm, auto open.

Pressure gauge would be mega if possible.

But above all else, I’m looking for a reputable option with decent U.K. support.

I had looked at Stahls presses initially, but they’re just out of my budget at this moment in time.

So the main ones I’ve been considering are:

• SupaPress Pro (SupaColour).

• Xpress HPD Auto Clam.

• OtterUltra G1 Pro.

For the SupaPress Pro, I can’t seem to find a single human being on planet Earth who’s actually used one 😂

They’re a reputable company, so I’d assume it should be decent. And I’ve seen a few videos on their bigger 4 head press.

But it’s odd/unnerving that nobody’s talking about this new auto clam model. SupaColour mentioned that it’s brand new. But it still feels strange to not see a single article anywhere about it.

The OtterUltra G1 was recommended by the good guys at Screen Print World.

It looks like it has great warranty and specs, but again, next to online talk about this one. Also, it has a more complicated looking display, with lots of menus and options etc, which feels like there’s a lot that could go wrong there. Especially on a device with seemingly no online community to speak of.

The Xpress HPD Auto Clam is the other one I’ve looked at. This looks more basic, but looks like a solid option. And interestingly, this one looks suspiciously like the “Heat Press Nation” (HPN) Signature Series 16” x 20” model. And as we don’t seem to get the HPN stuff in the U.K., I’m wondering if this is a rebrand over here.

Any thoughts or recommendations massively appreciated.
