Planarcadia have done great with the dialogue writing and cinematography, but I feel like NONE of the characters in Planarcadia really got explained fully and too much things happening at once only for them to get resolved easily.

YAO GUANG

What's with Yaoguang's space-switch stuff? Oh it never got explained in the main story. Actually it never happened again after 4.0. This reminds me of Acheron's red text thing. Also the fact that Abundance stuff is happening in Planarcadia, you thought she will be more important in 4.2. Nope. She was doing stuff off-screen ofc. And let's not forget that she quote-on-quote, forgive Blade after killing over 200 people in the past just because of 1 deed. How convenient. Knowing how she was potrayed in the lore, this is quite the opposite of her.

SPARXIE

Sparxie, this one has the potential to unravel Sparkle's lack of screentime and relevance in Penacony. Maybe a little bit sight of how her life before becoming Sparkle. Nope, just some filler antagonist. Not relevant in 4.1 or 4.2.

ASHVEIL

Ashveil, the long awaited La-Mancha and his monkey Watson. Actually where is his monkey? Don't introduce us a charming monkey only for it to disappear after 4.0 main story. But I digress, he's the one char with slight more relevance than the other 2 women I mentioned because of Voracity and stuff with Isee. I'm still praying that him & Yaoguang to actually get a story, not just appearing as side chars. Because they are the leaders of their respective faction, ain't no way they got shafted, right??

SILVERWOLF

SW Lvl.999. No build ups, sudden lore reveal with 0 foreshadowing, only for them to be promotional materials and not inside the game. If you didn't watch those lore stuff on YT, she almost felt like a big AD shoved down in your throat: "Pull our Main Push plss!!". Why must they ruin an OG character like this, I love SW, but man the pay-off came too sudden.

BLADE

Blade, I still don't know how to feel about him in Planarcadia. But there are already some red-flags like how his fight with DHIL got off-screened. I'm praying hard that we can see his life during HCQ era, SH era, and maybe his POV during Xianzhou Luofu arc. I know I'm asking too much, but hey, he hadn't got any relevance since forever and his screentime is shorter than Gallagher' or Misha's.

EVANESCIA

Evanescia, I'm not worried about this one, she was the main push character I can already tell. Scratch that, after 4.2 you can tell that they cut some of her story. During her transformation (spoiler alert), she said she will do something, but the next time we sae her, barely anything happened. There's def some red flags here, and you know the reason. But still, she is the main core character for Planarcadia due to her history with Graphia and Asat, so I'm not worried that much.

NIHILUX

Blurry QR Code, miss Nihilux, one of most favorite out of all. She if funny, I like her. But her story is still not here, so I'll wait.

PEARL

Pearl. Same as Evanescia, she has all the build ups she needs, even since Belobog. I just hope there's no sudden big lore reveal outside of game like SW that have no build up before.

FULWISH

This might be a bit controversial, but Fulwish is the lamest villain HSR ever wrote. She has all the potentials to be great, she got a great backstrory to build up Himeko's story, also good char design, yet she doesn't affect me at all as the player. Two things: first she barely did anything to the main characters of Planarcadia, doesn't matter if she put 200k people at risk of ruin, those are NPCs in my POV as player. I want to see her do something serious to our characters so she feel like a real threat to me, like maybe awaken Blade's inner Shuhu during battle as plot twist, or give her more interaction with Himeko face-to-face to build her up as a villain like with Caenis & Aglaea.

Second is how they presented her backstory, they shouldn't put her backstory when we were about to fight her. That's disrespectful for her character, it felt like the writers are done with her and want to switch the villain role to Asat. Kinda ironic too knowing how people of Planarcadia don't really care about her sadness and now the writers are basically doing the same thing.

Overall, even compared to Penacony cast, Planarcadia cast barely scratch an itch for me, but I really want to know what's your opinion about them.
