Anyone else notice their mood, energy and brain fog follow a monthly pattern? It's not in your head — here's the science

I used to think I was just "moody" or inconsistent. Turns out, I was just hormonally illiterate — and that's not our fault, nobody teaches this stuff.

Here's a quick overview of what's actually happening across your cycle:

📅 Follicular phase (days 1–13): Estrogen rises. You feel clearer, more motivated, more social. Great time for big decisions or hard workouts.

🌸 Ovulatory phase (days 14–16): Peak estrogen + testosterone surge. You're at your most confident and energetic. Lean into it.

🍂 Luteal phase (days 17–28): Progesterone rises, then both drop before your period. This is when PMS hits — irritability, bloating, brain fog, cravings. Not weakness. Biology.

🌙 Menstrual phase: Estrogen and progesterone at their lowest. Rest is productive, not lazy.

Once I understood this rhythm, I stopped fighting myself and started planning around it. Game changer.

I wrote all of this up in a detailed e-book (Balanced) if anyone wants the full breakdown — including food, sleep and exercise guidance for each phase. Disclosing upfront: it's my own product, $17 on Gumroad. But genuinely happy to just chat about this here if you have questions!
