Does anybody have recommendations of books like the Magpie Rhyme series by Louise Collins?

I find it hard to look for these kind of books. Where the good guy gets kidnap by the bad guy.

I don't mind slow-burn, historical

Any suggestions for books about MC2 sleeps with MC1 but wouldn't admit that he's homo?

I just feel like reading about that. Though I do appreciate the MCs to be 30 or older. One of my favourite books is Promises by Marie Sexton. Would like to read something like this again.
