Washing clothes has been my biggest stress for years now. Always running out of clean things when I need them most, or waiting forever for something to dry before my shift. Used to think buying more uniforms and casual clothes would fix it but that just made laundry mountain even bigger and my closet impossible to navigate

During holiday break I got fed up and tried something different. Since I travel constantly for work I know exactly what I actually need - few work pieces, some casual tops, pants, basic workout stuff and obviously underwear. Took just these essentials and put them in separate space, moved everything else away temporarily

Was curious how long I could manage with just this small selection before needing anything from the rest. Results have been incredible - so much less anxiety and I actually wear my favorite pieces every day instead of digging through piles

Weekly laundry is so simple now, takes maybe 20 minutes instead of hours. No more choosing between huge backlog of random shirts vs other random shirts while still feeling like I have nothing good to wear. Everything has its place and I know where it is

Thought this would fall apart when I went back to work but opposite happened - getting dressed is effortless now. Know I always have clean uniform ready and its the ones that actually fit well and look good, not just whatever was available

Not sure if this counts as minimalism since im still focused on clothes but the mental clarity from this change has been amazing
