Which one

Getting some prescription aviators and I am down to a final 2.

  1. Randolph Engineering aviators (55)

  2. Dita Lancier LSA-417

On the RE. I am not a fan of the shiny gold frame so it would be getting a matt chrome. They feel like absolute tanks in the hand, but not overly heavy.

The Dita's feel lighter and have a nice semi matt finish. Worried about the arms being a flexy acetate (?) and longevity.

Wife prefers 2.

Hi all,

I’ve pretty much settled on my next pair of prescription sunglasses, but I’ve hit a bit of a wall. I’m struggling to find either:
• A dealer where I can try them on (not a dealbreaker as I could order frames online), or
• More importantly, somewhere that can actually do the prescription lenses for them

Living in Lincolnshire doesn’t help, but I’m happy to travel if needed.

Has anyone had experience with an optician or dealer who can sort Rx lenses for higher-end frames?

The brands I’m looking at are Dita, Lancier, and Serengeti.

Cheers
