I bound this miniature Dorfner-style book on leather tapes, with paste paper used for the edge to edge doublures and flyleaves, and a simple single-colour sewn endband. In this structure (named after binder Otto Dorfner), the boards are attached only by the leather tapes, leaving the joint uncovered.
I couldn’t find a complete tutorial for this style of binding, though a couple of blog posts were helpful. I’m not sure if I did everything correctly, but it was fun trying to figure it out!
