Hello,

Trying to import a vehicle from canada into the united states.
The vin starts with a number 2.

I was told by an importer exporter that the if the vin starts with a 2 its generally inadmissible into the USA.

The vehicle does meet all safety and emission requirements and i’ve read that even if the VIN starts with a 2, it may meet all requirements.

Confused on what to do here. Anybody have experience with this?

It’s a 2021 honda crv touring. It does have OEM tpms sensors on the vehicle.
