The Judgemental Critter made a video about all the confirmed (and some theorized) inspirations for the different RWBY characters, those inspirations came from tales, legends, mythologies, fantasy books (like Peter Pan) and even some internet memes. It's fun to see the different references and since most of those references are from tales I share it here.
