For some context, I’m my church’s “lead singer.” That wouldn’t be too bad on its own, but I also have to speak, and I genuinely struggle with that, I can never think of what to say. Even though no one at church seems to mind, I do. I’ve had this role for about 6 months now, and my heart still starts pounding every time I get up in front of people.
Lately, our pianist hasn’t always been able to make it, so I’ve been thinking about stepping into that role.
I did play piano when I was younger, so I’m not starting completely from scratch, but back then I mostly relied on memorizing keys. I never properly learned how to read sheet music or understand which notes correspond to which keys.
So I guess I’m looking for advice on where to start if I want to relearn piano properly.
