what word would be used for ‘prefect’, as in the position of responsibility given to older students in UK schools. spanishdict says ‘monitor(a)’ should be used instead of ‘prefecto/a’ as the latter tends to refer to political or government positions. however, other translators say that ‘prefecto/a’ is fine.

if i want to say ‘i work at a hotel that hosts weddings and parties’, how would i translate ‘host’ ?
