Hey everyone,
I recently bought a completely new gaming laptop and installed Valorant for the first time. After launching the game, I got a VAN 152 restriction message saying the device was restricted due to a violation linked to the hardware.
The weird part is:
- I never installed cheats or spoofers
- Fresh Windows setup
- Only basic drivers + Valorant installed
- Laptop is basically brand new
- My Riot account works completely fine on other PCs/systems
- The issue only happens on this specific laptop
I already submitted a Riot Support ticket and I’m waiting for a response, but I’m trying to understand if anyone else has experienced this.
Could this happen because:
- the laptop was a returned/refurbished unit?
- false positive from Vanguard?
- pre-existing hardware history somehow?
Has anyone actually gotten this resolved through Riot support on a new device?
Would appreciate any advice or similar experiences.
