So question about Tekken 8 story of the erasure of the Gene
People use this as a claim to say Jin and kazuya permanently lost there gene forms ,
This and Jins statement ‘ we’re just regular humans now’ are the main points I see
However, this does not inherently mean that the gene is gone forever , they could have just lost the forms due to stamina and could no longer maintain them , this is common in anime like Naruto, one piece , dbz etc.
This explains why they have their fight on earth even thematically as instead of fighting in the heavens they fight with mortal, earthly martial arts , Tekken 7 did the exact same thing in the kazuya and heihachi fight (less dramatic though) with heihachi not being able to use his full power Mishima style and kazuya being taken out of true devil form, they slug it out in base versions and kazuya wins. This does not mean the form is permanently gone as we obviously see it in Tekken 8
I don’t believe that the gene is gone forever to be honest unless there’s a statement or thing I missed I think that claim has no basis unless you take Jin’s statement hyper literally….
