I was planning on making an expensive purchase, and to my surprise at the checkout the total VAT is being discountes for the final price. For reference, I live on the European Union, Spain.

...why are they discounting it? I don't get it. Because it will gonna be held in customs and I will have to pay it later? Never made an expensive purchase in Aliexpress. If I'll have to pay VAT later I can't afford it lol.
