I've noticed that some tracks I've been listening to in high quality for a long time are suddenly only showing up in AAC, has this happened to anyone else?

I do have one troubling hypothesis.....since it seems to line up pretty closely with Spotify's launch of their lossless streaming, could they have negotiated exclusive rights with some artists, causing them to have to pull the high quality masters from Tidal? I really hope that isn't the case, but maybe someone here has more inside information or a better perspective for speculation than me?
