How Do You Prevent Composite From Sticking During Veneers?

Hi colleagues, I’d like to ask for some advice regarding composite build-ups and composite veneers.

I’ve been struggling with the composite sticking too much to my instruments and the ultrasculpt pad during placement and sculpting. It slows down my procedure because the composite tends to pull away instead of packing smoothly.

I’m currently using composites from Ivoclar, VOCO, and Shofu (Beautifil). Even after cleaning the instruments with alcohol, the composite still becomes sticky again after a short time.

I’d like to ask:

  • What techniques do you use to prevent composite from sticking to instruments?
  • Do you use a specific modeling resin, wetting agent, or lubricant?
  • Are there particular instruments or brands that work better for composite veneers and anterior build-ups?
  • Is there a recommended non-stick instrument or coating that really helps?
  • Any tips for smoother packing and sculpting to make the procedure faster and cleaner?

I would really appreciate any practical tips or product recommendations, especially for aesthetic anterior work and composite veneers. Thank you!
