Hi everyone! Im new to this sub reddit but not new to Muay Thai. I have been doing Muay Thai since 2011, I was 13 at the time. Now im 28 and decided nows the right time for me to fight. The questions I have for this post are more on the nutrition side. I definitely have technique questions, but ill save that for another post :P.

  1. Do y'all prefer honey stingers for quick energy boost before a training session or plain honey sticks?

  2. What other simple sugar sources do y'all prefer beforehand with training? Someone at my gym prefers like a few pieces of gummy bears, I tried a few and did not really see the benefit with energy other than my blood sugar went up haha.

  3. I train mostly at nighttime because of my work schedule. So for my post workout protein, I prefer not the heavy protein bars late at night for digestion reasons. I go for low fat cottage cheese which is about 16g of protein. Are there other alternatives y'all prefer, like plant based yogurts or milk? Some pieces of tofu?

  4. You're thoughts on Gatorade vs electrolyte water (not propel but non flavored plain water with electrolytes)?
