I work by myself most of the night, but!

One of the two kitchen staff works 3 mornings a week, and I love when our days line up. She brightens my day just by existing!

Also sometimes I order pizza (there is literally ONE delivery option in my town by the time I get to work, and thats when impulse strikes) and tonight was one of those nights- man is a sweetheart I enjoy seeing him! He also got me a free soda so someone gets that!! (I don't drink soda but I appreciate the sentiment! He's always working when I deliver so I also make sure to tip real well)

Who are highlights? It can be someone you work with, someone you see here n there, or someone you see after work who makes it all better.

I've been struggling with mood-swings where I'm real angry and volatile and being alone means no one has to deal with me. It's a work in progress via therapy but u know how it be, ups and downs.

It's the sorta thing I can keep on lock by just being quiet, but most people still try and talk to me (when I'm in a good mood I'm fairly social so I can't blame them) By the time morning rolls around and I've gotta socialize I've had enough time to chill by myself that I can put on a smile.

But for the hours I'm all alone, I can just grumble to myself, not force a smile, and be annoyed openly without anyone thinking I'm mad at them or judging me for it.
