Hi, my kids (6 and 8) last year finally got into hiking and camping. I brought up the idea of an overnight hike and they're excited about the idea.
I really want to make sure it's a good experience for them to build on this nugget of excitement, so I'm really trying to find an overnight hike that A: isn't too intense (but still needs to have some sort of summit, that's their primary motivation) and B: preferably has a cabin/yurt/something other than a tent site for the overnight. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the White Mountains, although that would be preferred. But I would settle for generally Northern New England or Massachusetts.
Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks in advance.
