Dont bother trying to get into phlebotomy because the job market is horrible. You wont get hired if u dont have experience and you only get paid $25 an hour. What a joke. Phlebotomist definitely deserve more for dealing with bodily fluids, blood and all. Just my opinion. Ive applied to 100+ positions and no call backs, no interviews. All because i dont have experience. Nobody will hire even if they say they are hiring. Makes me feel like i wasted my time and couldve pursued something else in the mean time and could have gotten a job in something else. Yes i tried volunteering and clinics but they all want someone with experience so they dont have to train anybody. Absolutely ridiculous. I used to be so excited for this career only for it to lead to a dead end. What a joke.
