Beginner’s luck or am I just built for it? 🌿✨ meet *Birdie Bloof* 💚
I got my first ever plant 24 days ago… a peace lily… during a time I was honestly really emotional and low (my best friend sent it as a surprise).
What I didn’t expect was how attached I’d get 😭
I started talking to her, checking on her multiple times a day, telling her she’s doing well, almost hyping her up like she’s human.
I literally cried… like actual happy tears… and they fell on the leaves. I don’t even know why, it just felt… comforting?
Fast forward to today. I woke and went to water her. And there it was, her first ever bloom ☺️
On just Day 24.
I can’t stop staring at the center of the flower, that tiny spadix inside, so beautifully shaped, so perfect. Can’t stop imagining how it formed so precisely and what it will grow into. Just sitting her appreciating God’s creation. Oof 🤌🏻
Initially, I ChatGPTed the hell out of it 😂 asking if each suspected shoot is just a rolled leaf or an upcoming bloom. I studied all the optimal conditions it needed to thrive. I prayed to God and literally begged *Birdie Bloof* to give me a beautiful little flower.
I genuinely cannot believe it. It feels like she responded. Like she knew she was being cared for 🫂
I think it’s time to step into my plant mom era. Already got another little jade plant, *Mr. Yoda Bloof*. Redditors, what are some pretty, beginner-friendly plants I can add next?
Also, is there any way to get more flowers like this or did I just get lucky this time? And lastly, please tell me I’m not the only one out here talking to my plants like this 😭😂💚
