Ran a half this morning that I felt very prepared for and felt fairly strong throughout, mainly negative splits except for one hill that broke me in mile 11. Problem is - my watch for some reason was fairly misaligned with the race and it’s the difference between a PR and not a PR 😭
I noticed early on that my watch was clocking miles sooner than the mile markers, but didn’t sweat it until later and then I really got in my head. My goal was 2:21 for a PR. Strava gave me 2:20 for my 13.1 and said I ran 13.47 total. My race time was 2:24. There were only 94 runners and I’m back of the pack so it seems crazy to me that I bobbed and weaved so much extra distance? Not the end of the world just kind of bummed because I feel so confused about what happened and what I could’ve actually run.
