Hey! So, both my parents were born and raised in El Salvador. Never knew much about my family history, besides immediate family and the fact that my mother migrated to Canada. Does anyone else have a lot of DNA matches that share both maternal and paternal DNA? I have many who are 2nd cousins or 2nd cousins 1x removed, who share both of my parents DNA. Might just be common because of where my parents come from.🤷🏻♀️
Also, can't believe all the mixed DNA I have. It is so cool to see my origins, when I have no backstory. But how do I find actual family members history? My mother is no help and never shared family history, even when I asked. (She's still alive, we just don't speak)
People usually know I'm hispanic, or they think I'm Italian, because I have fairer skin.
