Hello all!! Yesterday I was incredibly lucky to be able to pick up the 4 dolls in the last pic from a free bin at a local thrift store and I’m really excited to have my first boudoir doll but I have a few questions. I thought at first she was maybe a repro of some kind because she isn’t composition or molded cloth but plastic on her hands feet and head, I do think she’s an older doll though because of the condition of the fabric on her cloth body, her mohair wig and the age of some of the dolls she was with! I know she’s not a 20s boudoir doll but could she be from around the fifties? She doesn’t have the same dramatic make up as other boudoir dolls and she may be as new as the 70s but I couldn’t really find results for all plastic boudoir dolls so any information at all would be appreciated, thanks!!

Her hair is a bit of a mess but seems to be in good condition, I don’t want to remover her wig as the actual cap seems fragile. I think it’s mohair though I’m no expert, but it’s soft and non synthetic feeling and it’s not human either. I worry if I brush it, it will fall out because I’ve had that with mohair before, so how do I tame her curls? Also she has no makers mark and if anyone has any ideas about her maker or year, she is composition but she has an open mouth with teeth which I haven’t seen on a composition doll before and lovely grey eyeshadow. I can’t wait to make her clothes, I think I’m going to make her a nurses outfit!!
