I'm trying to solder new joysticks for my Dualsense controller. Sony apparently uses non leaded solder so that's what I got too. Some people said that a 30W soldering iron is fine for that so that's what I got. Weller 30W LED one.
I couldn't even desolder the pins :( The split second I got the iron off and used my pliers, it went back to solid. I even managed to get my soldering wick stuck to the motherboard and took like 3 minutes with a lot of flux to get it back off. It also took me like 10 seconds on the pins just to melt it. The soldering wire also took 3 seconds to melt when directly on the iron.
So, does this mean that 30W is not enough after all? Or do I just suck at it (probably plays a part at least)?
