Old Yellow Top: The Bigfoot of Canada or Something Else Entirely?

Hey folks! I've been doing some research into Bigfoot lore, and I ended up coming across a cryptid called Old Yellow Top (OYT). OYT has a very similar description to Bigfoot from what I saw, with the main difference being the color of their heads. I was wondering if most people believe that OYT is just another Bigfoot, or if he's his own thing. From what I read, I'm inclined to believe that they're one in the same, but I wanted some other perspectives. Let me know your thoughts!! :) See below a picture of OYT from Ontario. (I know that this photo has it's own issues, but I wanted to include a visual, since I don't think Old Yellow Top is super common knowledge.)

Hi there!

Me and my friend just started our channel a few months ago, and while we've made big improvements in our content, I definitely think there's lots still to learn : - )

Our channel is kind of a mix of buzzfeed unsolved and drawfee, with a lot of biology/animal facts thrown in as well. We basically talk about the history of a certain cryptid, break it down in a biological fashion, and then come up with theories on how it could exist today.

We have a few ideas we still need to implement, such as:

- Making the transition animations longer/giving the viewer a second to breathe
- Narrating the section changes to make the next section more understandable

- Trying to get better hooks for the beginning? This one I definitely need some advice on. I have taken notes on a few different similar videos, but I dont think we've quite nailed it

- A consistent title style/Thumbnail style! From the feedback I've gotten, the fully drawn thumbnails seem to be the most preferred, but I would love to hear some more thoughts!

- Section pacing! Currently we have four 'sections' of the video, but they aren't as evenly distributed.

Here is our most recent video: https://youtu.be/7SvDGdKbaK4

Please note that the thumbnail IS NOT GOOD. I tried something new, and it didn't work DHUSADHOASI. I will definitely be changing it in the future, but the fully illustrated ones take some time : D

Anyways, any editing, scripting, or general feedback is super appreciated! Also critique is very welcome!!
Thanks in advance for your help < 33

Hello!!

I am trying (and minorly failing) to decide on which style of thumbnail is the most attention grabby. My videos are meant to evoke a mix of buzzfeed unsolved and drawfee vibes, with minor old timey theater elements?? Its a bit of a niche channel style, so incorporating all three elements without looking insane has proven to be a challenge.

Our videos discuss the history of cryptids, and if they were real, how they would work biologically. All of the video assets are drawn, with art channel style little talking guys. We try to keep things pretty simple for a more general audience, and in the background of the videos there is a speedpaint of whatever we come up with.

Anyways - please keep in mind that these thumbnails are NOT from the same video! I am more looking for overall style feedback, there will definitely be another post for more refined feedback. I'll include the video titles below anyways!

Thumbnail 1 (Movie monster poster style, drawn by me!) - Mothman or Flying Squirrel? [Draw and Chat EP 1]

Thumbnail 2 (Very very low effort thumbnail LOL) - The Blackbird of Chornobyl [Tall Tales Ep 1]

Thumbnail 3 (Drawfee x Buzzfeed unsolved) - The Chupacabra SUCKS [Cozy Cryptids Ep 2]

Thank you for your help!!!

OK! A little edit, because I guess these guys are a proven hoax?? But I've been looking a bit, and I cant actually find concrete evidence. I am going to go on the assumption that it is not confirmed until I can find a source, but please feel free to correct me if you have one :D

Anyways, I have been trying to speculate what these guys could be related to/descended from. A lot of people seem to think an armless primate, whichhh wouldn't make a lot of sense based on where the sightings are. The way they move on tape, as well as their overall build don't really lend well to standard mammal morphologies.

They do heavily resemble baby barn owls (aka, nightmare fuel), but even then I am so hesitant to settle on it. Those freaks have really charasmatic faces and head shapes, and the nightcrawlers... well..

Anyways, if anyone has any thoughts I would be super interested to hear them :OO I love these funky little guys, real or imaginary :-)
